Delete your Hexomail account
Updated on 12 October 2026
From the app
In Hexomail, open Settings › Hexomail account, then Delete my Hexomail account. Enter your account password to confirm: the deletion is immediate and permanent, on computers as well as on Android.
Without access to the app
Write to bonjour@hexonest.fr, from your Hexomail account's email address, with the subject line “Suppression de mon compte Hexomail” (deletion of my Hexomail account). We check that the request really comes from that address, delete the account and confirm it to you in writing, within 30 days at most.
What is deleted
- your verified addresses and your password hash;
- your sessions and your linked devices;
- your HexoTransfert credits and your Hexomail subscription: the subscription is stopped (with no renewal and no refund of the current period), and your payment methods stored with our payment provider are erased;
- your HexoTransfert addresses and keys published in the directory, and your key lookup history;
- your data synced between devices (end-to-end encrypted).
A subscription taken out through Google Play is cancelled with Google; you can check this in the Play Store app, under Subscriptions.
What is kept
The accounting records of your purchases (amount, date, payment reference) are kept for the legally required retention period (10 years), without your email address or anything that would allow you to be contacted. Invoices already issued remain with our payment provider or with Google.
What is not affected
- Your emails: Hexomail does not store them on its servers. They stay with your email provider.
- The data on your device (cached messages, settings, accounts): it is erased by uninstalling the app, or by removing an account in its settings.
- A mailing list you are subscribed to: the unsubscribe link in its messages is enough.
For any other request about your data (access, rectification, portability, deletion of only part of it), write to the same address.
